Proper Preparation of Wagner® E-Shield® Rotors

Wagner E-Shield rotors come uncoated in a Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor (VCI) bag. This eliminates the potential of  an oily residue which could affect pad performance.

A quick cleaning of the Wagner E-Shield rotor should be done before installing. Unlike many competitor rotors, Wagner E-Shield rotors arrive in a VCI bag, uncoated with any oils.  A warm soapy rinse, with or without a scrub brush, is all that is required to ensure the rotor is free of particles, any hand oils and ready to install. Wagner recommends against the use of brake cleaners.
